PTRS is anti tank rifle so obviously it can dispatch of tanks. But from what I can see dead eye or tight grip doesn’t help much. Well I did some test but the results were inconclusive because its really hard to evaluate guns with high conefire. But what about dead eye or tight grip you might ask. However running something like sights only and fast reload with heavyset might be a good anti infantry build. Then I have veteran membership I run both of them sacrificing heavyset. Fast reload is also very good because reloading takes 7 seconds which is rough to say the least. Altough they haven’t bugfixed the badge so maybe its working as intended. Infantry first right now is broken and works on any armor thickness for some reason. For badges it really depends on what you want to achieve with the gun. And if you are really good at like guessing where the enemy is I guess you can use the stock bullet and the trigger. However if you use the gun only against tanks it is a decent option since the targets are huge so smoke and conefire is not that much of an issue. One of them is that the guns sway is already really high and another is that the smoke generated by the gun is too high so most of the times you cant make use of the rate of fire. Because the recoil and the conefire and actually the field maintenance is much better with the stock bullet In my opinion triggers are not worth the cost because of a couple of reasons. But if you are going against only infantry and not going to play against tanks Or you are not using the PTRS against tanks Then going with the stock bullet is the choice for you. So that is why I recommend Leonov Monstr bullet. So against more armored tanks Bronya Max has slightly more consistent penetration, but I don’t think its worth the sacrifice in damage and conefire. Recoil is highest with leonov monster(2x more vs stock) and leonov bronya has most conefire (20% more).

In short stock ammo has worst penetration (15-40 mm pen) and damage values (vs tanks 300-350), Leonov Bronya Max has best penetration(30-45 mm) and okay damage(vs tanks 320-370) and Leonov monster has a bit more variance on penetration (25-45 mm), but the most damage(vs tanks 350-470). So what are the actual differences tangible differences. So essentially that extra damage is only against infantry which is not useful because even the stock bullet already oneshots to any body part. And even though it does by 50% the damage to tanks is a separate thing entirely. So the tooltip ingame shows that Leonov bronya max has more damage (vs infantry) than other bullets.

If you want to make bank, dropping the sights might be a good idea But then you would have to deal with more sway so its a bit of a choice. Especially since other soviet options are not great (to make credits). Which makes it a very efficient gun to use and spam even against tanks to make credits. And in case you are wondering the Bronya Max is 3.2 credits per shot. The gun itself cost 2,5 credits per shot. Costs are relatively low: Stock bullet is 1,32, Leonov monster is 5 and match sights are 16,8 per shot. Everything else isn’t necessary and even the bullet can be dropped depending on the preference. The standard build of the PTRS is Leonov monster bullet and match sights. In this one we will be looking at a bunch of stuff so use timestamps to get to the parts you deem relevant. Hello and welcome to the the most expensive guide to make that is THE PTRS guide.
